Drake Curating A Music Exhibit

Starting on Apr 28 and using until Jun 12, visitors to a Sotheby’s vaunt in New York will have Toronto musician Drake to appreciate for a song they are listening to.

The thespian has been hired by a auction residence to curate a soundtrack for an vaunt that celebrates contemporary art by black American artists.  Approximately 20 masterpieces by artists Rashid Johnson, Nick Cave, Glenn Ligon, Kara Walker, Wangechi Mutu, Jean-Michel Basquiat and others will be on display.

According to a New York Times, Sotheby’s calls Drake one of today’s “foremost informative tastemakers”.  It might seem peculiar that Drake was selected for a exhibition, deliberation he isn’t famous as an art collector, though a mouthpiece told a Times that he “draws a lot of impulse from visible artists.”
